Benjamin van der Waal is a PhD student at Rhodes University, focusing on landscape connectivity and sediment dynamics in high altitude, high rainfall catchments since November 2011. Prior to this role, Benjamin served as a Research Assistant at Rhodes University from February 2010 to March 2011. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Geography with a specialization in Geomorphology, received from Rhodes University in 2014, a Master of Science in Biogeography and Geomorphology obtained in 2009, and an Honours degree in Water Management awarded in 2007.
