Chris McConnachie is an experienced Advocate at the Johannesburg Society of Advocates since January 2015, also serving as a Pupil Advocate. Alongside this role, McConnachie has been a Research Associate at Rhodes University since January 2015. Previous leadership experience includes being the Chairperson of Oxford Pro Bono Publico, which offers comparative law research for pro bono legal support, and serving as Administrator for The Oxford Human Rights Hub, a global network for human rights professionals. McConnachie's legal journey began with an internship at the Legal Resources Centre and a Law Clerk position at the Constitutional Court of South Africa. Academically, McConnachie has an extensive background from the University of Oxford, earning a DPhil, MPhil, and BCL, as well as a BA LLB from Rhodes University.
