Amy Cherry

Amy Cherry serves as the Chief Storyteller for the College of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware since December 2021, focusing on advancing higher education goals through impactful storytelling that elevates the college's reputation. Previously, Cherry held the role of Assistant News Director and Senior Enterprise Journalist at WDEL for over a decade, where responsibilities included talent acquisition, editorial oversight, and strategy implementation for audience engagement. Prior experience includes serving as News Editor at WBZ NewsRadio 1030, where daily operations and special event coverage were managed, and as Program Director for ECTV at Emerson College, mentoring student staff in content development. Cherry's early career also included transcription work while pursuing a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism at Emerson College, alongside a marketing assistant role that launched a podcast for then-Mayor Thomas M. Menino.
