Hannah Kolus is a Senior Analyst at Rhodium Group. Prior to their current position, they worked as a researcher at Northern Arizona University, where they conducted geoscientific model experiments with a sedimentation model called Sedflux2.0. Hannah also evaluated past climate variability through the analysis of natural records, with a focus on the Holocene (period starting ~11,700 years before present).
Kolus has also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Northern Arizona University, where they analyzed global data sets of simulated vegetation (from twelve terrestrial biosphere models) and observed climate. Hannah identified patterns in modeled ecosystem drought response and recovery, and compared ensemble model results with an observational benchmark.
In addition, Kolus has worked as a Visiting Student Researcher at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory on two occasions. The first was in May 2016 to July 2016, and the second was in June 2015 to August 2015. During their time at JPL, they worked on various research projects related to climate change and its effects on the environment.
Finally, Kolus has also worked as a Student Intern at JPL (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory) on two occasions. The first was in July 2014 to August 2014, and the second was in June 2013 to September 2013. During their internships, they worked on various research projects related to climate change and its effects on the environment.
Hannah Kolus received their Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from Northern Arizona University with distinction. Hannah also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Brown University, where they graduated with honors. Additionally, they have a degree in Physics from the University of Oxford.
