Dr. Sangram Ganguly has a long history of work experience, beginning in 1999 as a Graduate Student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. In 2002 and 2003, they were a Summer Internee at the Dept. of Information Engineering, University of Pisa, Italy and the CSSIP & Department of Electrical & Electronics Eng., University of Adelaide, Australia, respectively. In 2004, they began working at Boston University as a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD Student, where they conducted research on time trends in satellite-sensed global vegetation greenness, MODIS and AVHRR research, and the joining of MODIS and AVHRR sensors to build up long time history of global biophysical parameters (LAI and FPAR) to monitor changes in vegetation over more than three decades. From 2009 to 2019, they were a Senior Research Scientist at NASA. Most recently, they have been working as the Chief Technology Officer at Rhombus Power Inc. since 2019.
Dr. Sangram Ganguly began their education in 1992 at Kendriya Vidyalaya. From 1999 to 2004, they attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where they earned a BSc (Honors) and MSc in Exploration Geophysics. Dr. Sangram then went on to Boston University, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Remote Sensing in 2008.
