Ihab Abdelfattah

Ihab AbdelFattah is a highly experienced medical professional currently serving as Senior Medical Director at Rho since November 2021. Previously held positions include Medical Director at ICON plc and Medical Director of Global Product Safety and Pharmacovigilance at United Therapeutics Corporation from January 2017 to November 2021. Prior to this, Ihab served as Associate Professor and attending Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Cairo University from August 2013 to January 2017, where notable achievements included being a primary member of a multi-disciplinary team that established a Heart and Lung Transplantation Department. Ihab's early career included a role as Program Manager at TransMedics, Inc., overseeing clinical development for the lung program. Ihab holds an MBBCH/MD, a Doctorate in Cardiothoracic Surgery, and a Master’s in General Surgery, all from Cairo University.
