Laura Gatavs has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Laura is currently the Head of Legal Department for Rho, where they provide guidance on corporate governance, negotiates and drafts contracts, and manages risk. Prior to this role, Laura served as an Avocat-conseil at the Ambassade de France en Lettonie and worked as an Attorney at Law, specializing as a Legal Expert. Laura also gained experience as the Head of Legal Department at Dokumeds, which was later acquired by Rho, where they collaborated with different business units to assess risks and implement corrective measures. Laura's earlier career included roles as a Lawyer Linguist at the European Parliament and a Lawyer at Attorneys in Law Liepa, Skopina/BORENIUS.
Laura Gatavs has a diverse education history. In 1996, they attended Latvijas Universitate and earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Laura then pursued further education at Paris University XII from 2003 to 2004, where they obtained a D.E.S.S. European Lawyer degree with a focus on research and health. In 2007, Laura enrolled at the Institute of European Studies Brussels and completed a Complimentary Master in European Law in Brussels, Belgium. Lastly, in 2012, they undertook a Stage d'Avocat at Barreau de Paris.
