Lisa Carey

Lisa Carey is a partner at RHR International. With more than 30 years of HR experience in multinational companies, she is an accomplished business executive who brings diverse experience and expertise to assess, coach, and serve as a trusted advisor to CEOs, boards, and leadership teams. Her clients include private-equity-owned and public companies across a variety of industries such as technology, consumer products, financial services, professional services, healthcare, and publishing.

With a strategic, results-oriented, and collaborative approach, Lisa provides pragmatic solutions to complex business and organizational challenges and develops robust partnerships to help drive change, improve performance, and deliver business growth. Her emphasis on relationship building enables her to work as a partner with her clients, coaching and developing them to reach high levels of achievement and create authentic and long-term change.

With a commercial mindset and a strong desire to make an impact, Lisa has successfully implemented a variety of large-scale projects focused on acquiring, developing, and retaining key talent; strengthening organizational and leadership effectiveness; and enhancing company culture and employee engagement. She has a proven track record of HR leadership through periods of growth and transformation and has led major change initiatives, including organizational restructurings, M&A, and transition planning.

Before joining RHR, she was chief human resources officer for Corporate Risk Holdings and its subsidiary, Kroll, a private-equity-owned global leader in diversified risk and information services, and senior vice president of HR at Cengage Learning, where she led HR for numerous business groups in the U.S. and international locations and provided strategic direction for global HR, talent, and communication initiatives. Before this, Lisa was the national HR leader for the Enterprise Applications segment of Deloitte Consulting, held progressive HR and talent-management roles at Philip Morris USA, and served in an HR research consulting role with IBM.
