Steven Gilbert is a senior partner at RHR International and regional leader of the firm’s Executive Bench® solutions area. In this role, he directs a team of consultants and oversees the delivery of projects focused on the identification and development of next-generation leaders.

Leveraging his sharp analytical skills, psychology background, and multinational worldview, Steve has more than two decades of experience delivering and leading executive assessment, coaching, team development, and organizational-change initiatives across a broad swath of industries. This has included working closely with CEOs and management teams of private-equity-owned portfolio companies as they embark on rapid scaling and professionalization.

Steve’s purpose is to positively impact the way people experience the world of work. Through strong partnership, understanding, and encouragement, he strives to unlock each leader’s potential and enhance their ability to drive business results.

He possesses a deep appreciation of what it means to bring varying perspectives, cultures, and experiences to the table thanks to his own multinational background. Having grown up in the UK and lived in Spain, Singapore, Canada, and the U.S., he enjoys and is well-equipped to work with companies and leaders from all over the world.

Before he joined RHR in 2005, Steve began his career in the UK as a psychiatric nurse. He pivoted soon thereafter to business and psychology, determined to strengthen the management and leadership systems that ultimately impact the lives of many. He earned a bachelor’s degree in politics from the University of York in England and a master’s degree and PhD in counseling psychology from Boston College in the U.S.
