Charles Ryan has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. In 2012, they began as a Volunteer Youth Ice Hockey Instructor at Shepaug Gunnery Learn to Skate Program. In 2014, they worked as a Tennis Assistant at Washington Club - Tennis Division and as a Volunteer Coach at Laura Stamm Powerskating. In 2017, they began an Internship at Institute for American Indian Studies Museum & Research Center. In 2018, they became a Volunteer at North Berkeley Senior Center. In 2016, they began as a Student-Athlete at UC Berkeley Athletics/Division I Rowing. In 2020, they began as a Business Development Representative at Rhumbix and as a Youth Mentor at Lumine International Education.

Charles Ryan attended Rumsey Hall School from 2002 to 2012, where they completed kindergarten through ninth grade. Charles then attended Salisbury School from 2012 to 2016, where they earned their high school diploma. Finally, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a degree in Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology and Social Cultural Anthropology.
