Dilnawaj Ahmed

Dilnawaj Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning several notable companies. They started their career at Wipro Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer and then moved on to Motorola, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer for five years. At Motorola, they played a key role in developing the SS7 L2 subsystem for the Motorola Softswitch and creating a highly available platform for the Motorola Media Gateway using Linux.

After working at Motorola, Dilnawaj joined Mavenir Systems as a Team Lead for a brief period before joining Shoretel Inc as a Team Lead. At Shoretel Inc, they successfully migrated the Shoretel IP PBX from VxWorks to Linux and provided Linux expertise to their team.

Next, Dilnawaj joined Copanion, Inc as the Director of Engineering, where they joined the company at the seed stage and established the engineering team. They also co-authored two patents in the area of image processing and data entry automation and defined the software architecture for a highly scalable AI/ML SaaS system.

Following their time at Copanion, Dilnawaj worked at Yahoo! as a Principal Engineer before joining Ribbon Communications as the Director of Engineering. At Ribbon Communications, they managed multiple teams and were responsible for various tasks such as defining architecture and roadmap, securing and hardening the platform, and managing the development of common services for network management.

Throughout their career, Dilnawaj has demonstrated expertise in various areas such as Linux, VMWARE, managing large projects, and building systems. They have also shown a passion for entrepreneurial culture, particularly during their time at Winphoria, a startup within Motorola.

Dilnawaj Ahmed completed their Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1993, they attended Kendriya Vidyalaya in Naini, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
