Ronen Sommer

Ronen Sommer is a seasoned professional in system architecture, currently serving as the System Architecture Group Manager at Ribbon Communications since July 2019. Prior experience includes roles as System Architect TL at Ceragon Networks, where responsibilities encompassed the architecture of a new SoC integrating radio modems and processors, and Principal System Architect at ADVA Optical Networking. Previous positions include Senior System Architect at ECI Telecom, where Ronen defined architecture for Carrier Class Ethernet Switch Routers and led a team of architects on the XDM product. Early career experiences at ECI Communications involved defining functional requirements for hardware and software systems and representing ECI in the ITU-T SG15 standardization body. Ronen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
