Timur Khusainov

Timur Khusainov has a diverse and extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Timur began their career in 2004 as a Professional Services Engineer at Huawei, where they installed and commissioned SDH and DWDM systems and performed fault-finding in customer networks. In 2008, they worked as a Customer Care International Representative at Telia Carrier and as an Education Consultant at Ericsson.

From 2011 to 2015, Timur served as a Training Specialist at Transmode Systems AB, delivering training courses on WDM products to NOC and field engineers of major European telecom operators. During this time, they also designed and commissioned optical networks for hands-on training courses.

Timur then joined Infinera in 2015 and held various roles over the years. Timur worked as an Education Consultant, delivering training courses on WDM products and developing online training courses. Timur also served as a Senior Technical Support Engineer, troubleshooting in WDM optical networks and managing technical support cases. As a Customer Demo Lab manager, they planned and led trials, type approvals, and product demonstrations for customers, while also designing demo networks and deploying Network Management System servers.

In 2022, Timur joined Ciena as a Network Engineer, where they supported WDM and L2-L3 network roll-outs, performed optical network audits, upgrades, and migrations.

Currently, Timur is a Sales Engineer at Ribbon Communications, starting in 2023. Further details about their role and responsibilities in this position are not provided.

Timur Khusainov completed their Master of Science in Internetworking from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in Ciena Technology Program - Routing & Switching. Timur earned the professional level certification in October 2022 and the associate level certification in April 2022, both from Ciena.
