Kristen Stone has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical psychology and education. Kristen started their career in 2000 as a Program Specialist, Clinical Liaison, and Teacher Counselor at Youth Villages, where they worked until August 2002. In 2009, they joined the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. Also in 2009, they began working as a Psychologist at Women & Infants Hospital, specifically in the Brown Center for the Study of Children at Risk. Most recently, Kristen Stone has been working at RICBT since June 2020, where they hold the position of Director of Training and is also a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
Kristen Stone completed their Bachelor's degree in 2000 at Tennessee Technological University, where they majored in English and minored in Spanish and History. Kristen then went on to pursue a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology at The University of Memphis from 2002 to 2007. Following this, Kristen Stone was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University from 2007 to 2009, specializing in Sleep, Addiction, and Development. In addition, they also studied English, Spanish, and History at the University of Sunderland in 1998-1999, although the degree obtained from this institution was not specified.
