Allison Thacker is the Chief Investment Officer, President, RMC & VP, Investments at Rice University. Allison has over 20 years of experience in investment management, specifically in growth strategies.

Allison started their career at RS Investments in June 2000 as a Managing Director of the RS Growth Group. In this role, they were responsible for investments in the software, internet, energy and consumer discretionary sectors. Allison also served as a sector analyst for 25% of fund holdings. In 2003, they became the co-manager of the RS Technology Fund (RSIFX), which outperformed on a 1, 3, 5 and 10 year basis. RSIFX was ranked in the top 5% of all technology funds in 2010 and in the top 15% on a 5 and 10 year basis.

In 2007, Allison became the co-manager of the RS Small Cap Growth Fund (RSEGX) and RS Select Growth Funds (RSDGX). These funds are ranked by Morningstar in the top third on a trailing 4 year basis. Allison also manages the RS Mid Cap Growth Fund (RSMOX) and the RS Growth Fund (RSGRX).

Allison has been a driving force behind the success of RS Investments, and their experience will be invaluable to Rice University.

Allison Thacker has a Masters of Business Administration from HARVARD UNIVERSITY GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rice University.

Allison Thacker reports to Reginald DesRoches, President. They work with Paul Padley - Interim VP, IT & CIO, Kathy Collins - Vice President for Finance, and Amy Dittmar - Provost.
