Anastasia Karpova Tinari

Anastasia Karpova Tinari has a diverse range of work experience in the art industry. Anastasia is currently working as the Senior Director at Richard Gray Gallery, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director at the same gallery from March 2019 to February 2023. In 2017, they founded Anastasia Tinari Projects, where they are still active as the founder. Anastasia also has experience as an Election Judge at the Chicago Board of Election Commissions from June 2020 to November 2022. Before their current roles, Anastasia worked as the Director at Rhona Hoffman Gallery from June 2013 to February 2019, where they were responsible for gallery sales, organizing exhibitions, and participating in art fairs. Anastasia also worked as the Weisenberger Curatorial Fellow in American Art at the Indianapolis Museum of Art from October 2012 to April 2015. Prior to that, they held positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, National Gallery of Art, and Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, where they gained experience in museum coordination, gallery attending, education, and interpretation.

Anastasia Karpova Tinari's education history begins with their Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics and Art History from Washington and Lee University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Anastasia then pursued their Master of Arts degree in Art History from American University between 2009 and 2011. In 2022, they enrolled at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago to pursue a Master of Arts in Public Policy, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
