Eron Linn

Board Member at Richardson High School

Mr. Eron Linn was elected to Place 5 on the Board of Trustees first in 2015 and again in 2016. Before RISD, Mr. Linn served his community through his appointments to several leadership and civic boards.

In 2009, Mr. Linn was appointed by the Richardson City Council to the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA). The ZBA grants variances to the City zoning when strict application of setback, height, or area regulations would result in an unnecessary hardship on a piece of property.

Mr. Linn was appointed in 2011 by the Richardson City Council to represent Place 2 on the City Planning Commission (CPC). Meeting twice a month, Mr. Linn worked for four (4) years alongside his fellow commissioners to make recommendations to the City Council regarding land use, public improvements, planning and zoning, and thoroughfare improvements.

Additionally, Mr. Linn proudly served for six (6) years on the Advisory Board to the Richardson Chamber of Commerce where he was twice appointed Chair of the Public Policy Committee. The Public Policy Committee supports and communicates regularly with its members on local, state, and federal policy issues affecting economic development, transportation, public education, higher education, and workforce development.

Mr. Linn also served two years on the Board of Directors for the Richardson Family YMCA.

Mr. Linn received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas Tech University in 1998. He is an Eagle Scout and a former member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity. Mr. Linn is a member of the Richardson Masonic Lodge #1214.

Mr. Linn works for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) in the Government Relations Department as the Federal Relations Manager. He and his wife, Alyson, live in Richardson's Yale Park neighborhood and they have three school-aged children.
