Tim Hovey

Tim Hovey has extensive work experience in risk management and financial services. Tim currently holds the position of Vice President, Enterprise Risk at Richardson Wealth, where they lead the Enterprise Risk Management function. Tim'sresponsibilities include board and executive reporting, risk education, risk assessments and response management. Prior to this, Tim worked as a Financial Services Executive at Northstar Risk Advisors. Tim spent a significant part of their career at Scotiabank, where they held various roles such as Vice President, Wealth Management Risk, Director, Wealth Management & Small Business Credit, Director, Credit Solutions, Senior Manager in Global Risk Management, Senior Account Manager, and Associate in International Corporate & Commercial Banking. Tim also has experience from their early career at BDC, where they worked as a Manager, Management Services and an Account Manager.

Tim Hovey holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from The University of British Columbia. Tim also completed the Advanced Programme for International Management at Copenhagen Business School. Additionally, Tim obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, with a major in International Business and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Small Business, from Concordia University. Tim has other certifications, including being a RIMS Professional Member from RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.) and the COSO Enterprise Risk Management Certificate Program from AICPA. Tim has yet to obtain certifications in the Canadian Securities Course and the Officers', Partners', and Directors' Course from the Canadian Securities Institute and IFSE Institute, respectively.
