Kevin Cowling

Kevin Cowling is an experienced recreation professional with a robust background in management and program development. As the Recreation Superintendent at Richland County Recreation Commission since March 2020, Kevin oversees a comprehensive recreation programming plan and manages a $5 million budget. Previously, as the Director of Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation from August 2015 to March 2019, Kevin adapted to a new organizational structure and successfully transitioned the authority into a county department. Prior roles include Manager of Operations & Planning for the City of Clarksville and Athletic Director for the City of Pell City. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Health, Physical Education & Recreation with a minor in Business Administration from the University of North Alabama and an Associate of Science in General Education & Biology from Northwest Shoals Community College.
