Tamara Jones, CSAC-A, CAC, is an experienced professional in the human services field with a focus on in-home care and support for the elderly and individuals with special needs. As the Owner Operator of In Good Hands, LLC since May 2014, Tamara oversees scheduling and direct care services. In addition, Tamara has served as an Overnight Direct Support Manager at HopeTree Family Services since October 2014, and has been the Facility and Government Billing Analyst III- Team Lead at Richmond Ambulance Authority since November 2008, where responsibilities include processing medical claims and ensuring excellent customer service. Previously, Tamara worked as a Developmental Client Counselor II at The Greater Richmond ARC, providing support to clients with disabilities, and completed an internship with Substance Abuse Consultants. Tamara holds a Master's degree in Human Services with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Walden University and has earned certifications in Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling and an Associate of Applied Science in Human Services from J Sargeant Reynolds Community College.

Since its inception, the goal for the Richmond Ambulance Authority (RAA) has been to provide its community with clinical excellence, while ensuring response time reliability and fiscal responsibility. Although it has the highest call volume per capita in the United States, RAA has gained a national and international reputation as a premiere, high performing EMS system. RAA is one of only eleven systems in the United States that has received accreditation from both the National Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) and the National Academy of Emergency Dispatch (NAED). These accreditations are considered the “gold standard” for ambulance services, certifying distinction for quality patient care and ambulance operations.
