Mark Fu Shengwen

Mark Fu Shengwen started their career in 2010 as a Software Engineer intern at Hungrygowhere, where they worked part-time developing hungrydeals.sg, HGW iPhone app v1.6, and HGW mobile website. Mark then joined Firefish as a Software Engineer from November 2012 to December 2013. In 2013, Mark joined IBM as a Software Engineer, where they practiced agile development on the Linux and Unix Team of IBM Endpoint Manager. Mark also worked on DevOps using Docker, vagrant, Jenkins for build and test automation and Ruby programming for security compliance. From 2015 to 2016, Mark worked at Viki, Inc. as a Full Stack Engineer, primarily working with Ember.js and Ruby on Rails, following a fully test-driven development approach. Mark then joined HomeAway as a Full Stack Engineer from October 2016 to February 2018, and later as a Senior Software Engineer and Scrum Master from March 2018 to October 2018. Currently, Mark is an Engineering Manager at Beam, a company focused on expanding transportation options in Asia Pacific, starting with e-scooters.

Mark Fu Shengwen attended Xinhai High School from 2004 to 2007. Mark then went on to Nanyang Technological University Singapore, where they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer Science from 2008 to 2012. In October 2018, they obtained a certification in Application Security and Secure Coding Training course in Ruby on Rails from the institution Codebashing.
