Mayra Aldás-Deckert

Mayra Aldás-Deckert serves as a Board Member at Mixteca since June 2023 and as a Lead Organizer for the Riders Alliance since September 2021. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Project Specialist at Immigrant ARC, where responsibilities encompassed community outreach and coordination of legal clinics for Temporary Protected Status seekers. Previous tenure at The New York Immigration Coalition spanned from February 2014 to March 2021, during which Mayra held various positions, including Director of Community Engagement, leading advocacy campaigns that secured significant funding for community support and managing large-scale mobilizations. Mayra's extensive background also includes client relations at Bespoke Hospitality Brooklyn, marketing at CPEX Real Estate, and sales management in Ecuador. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Finance from Brooklyn College and a degree in Commercial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
