Susan Lehman was a New York Times Op-Ed editor and the deputy editor of The Times’ Sunday Review. She’s worked as a book, magazine and web editor. Her writing has appeared in a range of publications including The Times, Washington Post, Atlantic, Vogue, GQ, New Yorker and the late SPY Magazine. Trained as a lawyer, Susan was, for several years, communications director for the Brennan Center for Justice and has ghostwritten and edited books by several prominent lawyers. She is co-author, With Brian De Palma, of the novel, “Are Snakes Necessary?” (Hard Case Crime, 2020.)
