Ojars Lagzdins

Ojars Lagzdins is a seasoned professional in the fields of cyber security and information technology, currently serving as the Head of Cyber Security at Rietumu Banka since February 2024. With extensive experience in academia as a College Lecturer at Sia "Juridiskā koledža" and the "Baltijas Datoru Akadēmija" SIA, Ojars also actively contributes to the Information Technology and Information Systems Security Experts Group. Previous roles include IT Security Expert at Tele2 Latvia and Chief Security Officer/Data Protection Officer at AS Expobank, where responsibilities encompassed IT and security management and business continuity. Ojars has held various key positions in other organizations, including Chief Information Security Officer at the Information Centre of the Ministry of the Interior and Head of Information Systems Operational Division at the State Revenue Service of Latvia. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and IT, and a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship and Management from Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte.
