Elaine Vanderpoel-Barrios

Elaine Vanderpoel-Barrios has a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in various roles and responsibilities. Elaine started their career in 1996 as an Accountant at Orbit Semiconductor and later moved on to become the Office/Accounting Manager at Prime Solutions Inc. In 2000, they joined Novare Surgical Systems as a Senior Accountant before transitioning to a Senior Accounting Supervisor role at Monogram Biosciences in 2001. At Monogram Biosciences, they managed a team and was responsible for month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Elaine then worked as an Accounting Manager at CareDx, Inc - XDx, where they had oversight of accounts payable, payroll, and compliance with external audits. In 2013, they became the Controller at Carzetta LLC - Escalon Services. Currently, they serve as the Associate Director of Accounting at Rigel Pharmaceuticals Inc., managing a staff of accounting and payroll personnel and overseeing various accounting functions such as accounts payable, payroll, cash management, and financial reporting. Elaine has also been involved in special projects like ERP system implementations and enhancements.

Elaine Vanderpoel-Barrios pursued their education at Johnson & Wales University, where they obtained an Associates degree in Business Management. Elaine furthered their studies in the same institution and successfully completed a Bachelors degree in Hospitality and Business Management.
