Joshua Dion

VP, Engineering at RightHand Robotics

Joshua Dion is the current Vice President of Engineering at RightHand Robotics. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure Engineering at HPE SimpliVity from December 2018 to September 2020. In this role, they were responsible for leading all engineering functions for the development of the HPE SimpliVity product, including development, QA, dev-ops, infrastructure and labs.

Under Joshua's leadership, the HPE SimpliVity product generated $350 million in revenue in fiscal 2019. Joshua also led a global organization of 600+ badged and contract employees. Joshua is known for their commitment to servant leadership, empowerment, teamwork and transparency, which has resulted in increased employee engagement and motivation. Joshua has also improved engineering predictability and increased the engineering say/do ratio from 40% to 110%.

In addition, Joshua has successfully delivered 15 software releases over 15 consecutive quarters. Joshua has also overhauled the performance management process, which has inspired a 10x increase in peer-to-peer feedback.

Joshua Dion has an MBA from Clark University in Business Administration and Management, General. Joshua also has a BS from Merrimack College in Computer Science. Joshua has certifications from the Project Management Institute in PMI-ACP and from the Scrum Alliance in Certified Agile Leader, Certified Scrum Product Owner, and Certified Scrum Master.

Joshua Dion reports to Lael Odhner, Co-Founder & CTO. They are on a team with and Andrew Campanella - Head of Hardware.
