Product Designer

Location : London (Hybrid with 2 days in the office)

Reporting to: Lead Product Designer

The role  

As a Senior Product Designer in the Lead to Keys domain at Rightmove, you will drive design for our Home Services team, creating new, and enhancing existing user experiences for essential services like broadband and contents insurance.  You’ll develop tools to discover, purchase and manage any service or utility associated with moving home. Your work will focus on enhancing user engagement and conversion rates while driving strategic growth and expanding our product offerings to better personalise support for all home movers across their home moving lifecycle. 

Collaborate with your multidisciplinary team (Product Manager, engineers, etc.) to craft solutions that align with user needs and business goals, following the team's delivery plan. Work with the Product Manager to develop and validate product hypotheses through A/B testing to drive funnel conversion. Balance daily priorities with a future-focused perspective, guided by the Lead Product Designer. 

What you'll be doing

We are looking for someone who 

  • Demonstrates commercial acumen and leverage problem-solving skills and design thinking for business objectives and user needs.

  • Collaborates closely with their engineering team to understand technical opportunities and limitations, ensuring design feasibility.

  • Utilises data analytics to inform design choices based on user behaviour and business metrics.

  • Gains an in-depth understanding of the product, end users, and key stakeholders.

  • Skilfully manages a diverse set of intricate design challenges, especially involving B2C ecosystems with multiple service integrations.

  • Effectively communicates to engage stakeholders and peers, demonstrating the impact of your work.

  • Partners closely with their team throughout the product lifecycle from discovery through to launch, performance measurement and iteration.

  • Collaborates with teams like marketing, brand, and legal to ensure cohesive, engaging and compliant omnichannel product experiences.

  • Cultivates continuous growth through feedback, aiming for good outcomes for users and business.

  • Stays organised and adaptable – chunks up and prioritises work according to impact and constraints in close conjunction with their Product Manager and team.

  • Proactively seeks growth, improvement, and innovation.

What you'll bring to the role 

  • At least 4 years of proven experience as a high-performing Product Designer in an end-to-end role, owning projects from conception to delivery.

  • Portfolio showcasing a combination of research, UX, and UI skills, with clear outcomes, results and impact on users and business.

  • Good command of research methodologies and associated tooling (independently or with user researchers), journey mapping, problem-framing and solving, running workshops, and collaborative sessions.

  • Proven expertise in crafting visually compelling, engaging, and intuitive designs while implementing best practices and patterns for high-standard, accessible, and inclusive experiences.

  • Maturity and autonomy in managing time and focus.

  • Knowledge of UX best practices for comparison and service purchase platforms.

  • A/B Testing and data-driven design experience.

  • Experience designing financial products/services.

  • Experience in integrating branding with marketing strategies and optimising engagement and conversion.

  • Experience with designing email, reminder and notification systems for user engagement and retention.

The Experience Design Team at Rightmove is a talented and collaborative group of 25+ designers and researchers, shaping the future of user experiences through Product Design, Service Design, User Research, and UX Copywriting.
