Leslie Mares has a diverse work experience in various industries. They began their career in 2017 as a Blood Collection Specialist at Bloodworks Northwest and later worked as a Research Assistant at University of Washington Medical Center in 2018. In 2018, they also worked as a Barista at Starbucks and then transitioned to the role of Service Desk Analyst. In 2020, Leslie joined General Assembly as a Software Engineer Immersive Fellow, and the following year, they worked at NanoString Technologies, first as a Manufacturing Research Associate I and later as a Manufacturing Research Associate II. Currently, Leslie is an Associate Software Developer at Rightpoint, starting in 2022.

Leslie Mares holds a Certificate in Software Engineering from General Assembly, which they obtained between the years 2020 and 2021.
