Sampo Savolainen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Sampo began their career at Nokia in 1997 as a trainee, where they quickly took on responsibilities and implemented a device driver for an in-house message bus interface. Sampo continued to work in various roles at Nokia, including Communication Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented IP high availability server platforms and integrated functionality in the Symbian EKA2 kernel prototype. Savolainen also served as a Software Architect in the newly formed Symbian Platform Releases organization and was a member of the Adaptation Software Control Board. Sampo then joined Accenture in 2011 as a Principal Architect, where they continued their work in system architecture and software modularity. At Accenture, they also had the opportunity to be involved in hands-on projects, such as analyzing startups of applications to find system level fixes. After leaving Accenture, they worked as a freelance embedded developer, where they single-handedly worked on an embedded device project. Sampo is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Rightware.

Sampo Savolainen obtained a M. Sc. degree in Telecommunications Software with a minor in Industrial Management from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan. However, there is no information available regarding any additional certifications.
