Thomas Ameloot

Thomas Ameloot is currently an Electrical and Embedded Hardware Engineer at RigiTech, a position held since January 2023. With a solid academic background, Thomas earned a Doctor of Engineering (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from Ghent University, where research focused on long-range, low-power wireless communication technologies. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Researcher at IDLab from September 2017 to December 2022, and Instructor at Kazou vzw, where responsibilities involved mentoring youth leaders for international vacations. Additional experience includes serving as a Technical Assistant at Huize Zonnelied vzw and as an Administrative and Logistics Assistant at Kazou vzw. Thomas holds multiple degrees from Ghent University, including a Master's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master's in Education and Teaching, along with a background in Art Education.
