Rigshospitalet
Kristian Almstrup is a Senior Scientist at Rigshospitalet and has been with the organization since 2007. At Copenhagen University Hospital, the Almstrup group focuses on the connection between genetic and epigenetic variation and reproductive endpoints, alongside testicular gene expression and sperm cell functional studies. Additionally, Kristian Almstrup serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen since August 2021, continuing similar research themes. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Novo Nordisk from 2005 to 2007 and a PhD at Rigshospitalet specializing in gene expression profiling from September 2000 to March 2005. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Biology from Copenhagen University, a Cand.scient in Biochemistry from the same institution, and a leadership program at Harvard Business School in 2012.
