Rijksmuseum
Stephanie Archangel is an experienced conservator and cultural advisor with a focus on history and cultural heritage. Currently serving as Conservator Geschiedenis at the Rijksmuseum since November 2016, Archangel also holds the position of Extern adviseur for the VN Decennium Fonds at Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds from January 2019 to January 2024. Previous roles include advising on applications related to visual arts and cultural heritage at Mondriaan Fonds, guest curatorship at Museum Het Rembrandthuis, and project leadership in education and outreach initiatives. Archangel has a strong background in cultural education and engagement, having worked as a freelance researcher and project coordinator across various institutions, including the Amsterdam Museum and Jewish Cultural Quarter. Archangel holds a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam.

The Rijksmuseum manages a number of internationally renowned collections in the field of Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages onwards, as well as important collections of European and Asian artworks. The museum’s objectives are to conserve these collections, to study them and add to them, and to make them accessible to as wide an audience as possible, both nationally and internationally.
