Joop van der Velden

Joop van der Velden has extensive experience in infrastructure and project management, currently serving as Hoofd BHV and Technisch Manager at Rijkswaterstaat since October 1999. Responsibilities include managing significant projects such as ZuidasDok and A9 Gaasperdammerweg, which enhance accessibility and urban livability in the Northern Randstad. Joop van der Velden has held various roles, including BIM ambassador and deelprojectleider for the A2 Leidsche Rijn project. Additionally, Joop van der Velden contributed as voorzitter of the kenniskring Systems Engineering and as voorzitter of the WOCAD-gebruikersgroep. With a solid educational background in infrastructure and project management, Joop van der Velden continues to be actively involved in relevant professional communities.
