Monica le Sage

Monica le Sage is a Senior Legal Advisor at Rijkswaterstaat, currently working in the Corporate Service since August 2019, with a focus on private law. Starting in January 2025, Monica will expand expertise at the Corporate Service for a duration of ten months. Previous roles include Senior Legal Advisor for International Affairs and the North Sea at Rijkswaterstaat. Monica also participated as a member of the Leiden University team in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, the largest moot court competition in international commercial law. Early career experiences include positions at AKD N.V. as a working student and legal intern, a student assistant at Leiden University, legal internships at Hogan Lovells, and leadership roles with student organizations. Monica holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Business Law from Leiden University and has an educational background that includes Queen Mary University of London and secondary education at Connect College Echt.
