Stephan den Breejen is a seasoned technical advisor and project leader with extensive experience in engineering and project management within the maritime sector. Currently serving as a Technisch adviseur vlootvervanging at Rijkswaterstaat since October 2024, Stephan previously held the position of Projectleider energietransitie at Gemeente Capelle aan den IJssel from October 2022 to September 2024. From June 2014 to October 2022, Stephan worked as a Senior Project Engineer at COSCO Heavy Transport, overseeing engineering operations for multiple vessels. Earlier roles include Project Engineer at COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers Co., where responsibilities included coordinating engineering work for a significant number of vessels, and Engineer at Damen Shipyard Hardinxveld, focusing on dual fuel engine feasibility studies. Stephan holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Rotterdam and an Intermediate Vocational Education degree in Naval Architecture from Scheepvaart en Transport College Rotterdam.
