Charlie McKenna

Charlie McKenna is a seasoned legal professional with a robust background in public service and private practice. Currently serving as a Partner in White Collar Defense and Investigations at Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP since December 2019, Charlie previously held positions as General Counsel and Managing Director at Renaissance Associates, LTD from October 2018 to December 2019, and as CEO of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority from January 2014 to August 2018, overseeing the construction and renovation of schools in underserved districts. Early career highlights include serving as Chief Counsel to the Governor of New Jersey and Director of Homeland Security and Preparedness, as well as an extensive tenure at the U.S. Attorney's Office, where Charlie was the Chief of the Criminal Division. Academic credentials include a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, a Master's degree in Homeland Security from Penn State World Campus, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Fordham University.
