Akshay Sharma

Akshay Sharma is a technology professional with a robust background in machine learning and software engineering. Currently serving as Co-Founder at Rimba since January 2025, Akshay previously worked at Klarity where roles included Machine Learning Engineer II and Machine Learning Engineer, focusing on OCR engine development and multimodal key-value extraction. Academic experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant position at Columbia University, contributing to a Natural Language Processing course. With prior roles at Rejoy Health and Google, Akshay has developed custom applications, created optimization packages, and collaborated on high-scale project implementations, demonstrating a versatile skill set across various domains in technology and research. Akshay holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, specializing in Natural Language Processing, and a dual degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics from IIT (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi.
