Greg Valentine

VP, Global Risk Management & Internal Audit at Rimini Street

Mr. Valentine serves as Vice President, Global Risk Management and Internal Audit. In this role he is the Legal Department’s Managing Practice Leader for all global risk management and internal audit programs across the U.S. and for 20 countries. He also serves as a trusted advisor to Rimini Street executive management and the Board.

Mr. Valentine is a highly skilled executive leader with 25 years of experience managing and founding corporate risk management functions for major public corporations. Throughout his career, he has saved his employers hundreds of millions of dollars through cost reductions, insurance recoveries, and proven risk control, reduction, and mitigation.

Previously, Mr. Valentine established the corporate risk management and safety function for Mervyn’s Department Stores and 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Valentine led the global risk management function for Applied Materials, where he also managed the company’s Global Business Continuity function.

Mr. Valentine is an active member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Golden Gate Chapter (San Francisco), where he served two terms as President and Development Chair, respectively.

Prior to his global risk management roles, Mr. Valentine was a research chemist with Exxon Chemical Technology; Systems Analyst for the state police, Texas Department of Public Safety; and Project Manager for SunGard Planning.

Mr. Valentine holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems, cum laude, from the University of Houston. He completed additional undergraduate coursework in Organic Chemistry at the University of Michigan.

Mr. Valentine also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, magna cum laude, from California State University.
