David Annas has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. David started their career in 1984 as a Senior Officer in the Royal Air Force, where they gained operational experience on various aircraft and achieved several qualifications. David then transitioned to working as a Principal Safety Consultant at Cobham Technical Services, specializing in safety engineering for MOD Project Teams. In 2008, they joined RINA as a Principal Safety Consultant and Team Leader for Space and Defence Safety, providing safety and risk-to-life advice to the Defence and Aerospace industry. David later took on roles such as Capability Manager for Safety Compliance and Head of Technical Services. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Operations - Space & Defence at RINA.
David Annas has a diverse education history. David attended the University of York from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Safety Critical Systems Engineering. Prior to that, from 1984 to 2008, David attended the Royal Air Force College, where they acquired the degree of RAF Officer. During their time there, their field of study focused on Air Power, Airworthiness, and General Military Development. Before joining the Royal Air Force College, David attended Esher College from 1981 to 1983, where they completed their A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Lastly, from 1974 to 1981, they attended the City of London Freemens School and achieved 8 O Levels. In addition to their academic qualifications, David holds an additional certification in MSc Safety Critical Systems Engineering from the University of York.
