Josh Carman

Josh Carman is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as Director at Rincon Consultants, Inc. since May 2022. Carman holds the position of President for the San Francisco Bay Chapter of the California Association of Environmental Professionals from August 2022 to March 2025. Previously, Carman worked as a Senior Associate at PlaceWorks from May 2018 to May 2022 and held multiple roles at the California Association of Environmental Professionals between 2017 and 2020, including VP of Programs for both the East Bay and North Bay. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Consultant at Illingworth & Rodkin, Inc. and as a Noise Specialist at LSA Associates, Inc. Additionally, Carman volunteered as a Grant Writer for Oakland Based Urban Gardens and began a career in environmental research and field assistance early in the 2000s. Educational background includes studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and San Francisco State University.
