Director, In Vitro Biology at Ring Therapeutics

Bryan Vought has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Bryan is currently the Director of In Vitro Biology at Ring Therapeutics since September 2021. Additionally, Bryan is the President and co-founder of the Boston Epigenetics Society, a nonprofit organization aimed at promoting epigenetics and fostering connections between academia and industry in the field. Prior to their current roles, Bryan worked at Alkermes as a Principal Research Scientist, leading the In Vitro Disease Modeling (IVDM) Group and providing disease and drug mechanism information through gene expression and functional genomic analyses. Bryan also worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Research Scientist, where they conducted independent research in neurobiology programs and fostered collaboration with cross-functional teams. Before that, Bryan held the position of President at the Massachusetts Academy of Sciences. Bryan began their career as an American Cancer Society Post-doctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School, where they actively participated in research and contributed to scientific publications. Bryan obtained their doctoral degree from Syracuse University and worked as a Scientist at Biological Components Corporation. Throughout their career, Bryan has gained expertise in molecular biology, neurobiology, and epigenetics research.

Bryan Vought obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from SUNY Geneseo from 1988 to 1992. Subsequently, they pursued a PhD in Chemistry at Syracuse University from 1992 to 1999.
