Jacek Spiewak

Jacek Spiewak has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies and roles. Jacek started their career as a Database Administrator at Makro Cash and Carry in 1996. From there, they worked as a Database Programmer at Quantum GmbH before moving on to PGI Compass SA, where they held the same role and worked on projects involving public infrastructure and parcels registration systems.

In 1999, Jacek joined EDS Industrien [Deutschland] GmbH as a Database Programmer, focusing on the BSCS (Business Support Control System) project. Jacek then worked at T-Mobil as a Database Programmer, contributing to projects related to customer management, rating, and billing systems.

Jacek's career continued at Robotron Datenbank-Software GmbH and Quantum software S.A., where they held the role of Database Programmer and worked on various integration projects, including SAP R/3 interfaces and customized interfaces for MEDION AG.

In 2006, Jacek joined Compact Solutions Poland as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in ETL processes development for Data Warehouses using Ab Initio. Jacek later moved on to Postmodo as a Consultant, before eventually joining Ringier Axel Springer Polska in 2010.

At Ringier Axel Springer Polska, Jacek initially served as an Information Systems Designer, responsible for database systems analysis and design. Jacek also played a role in developing and supporting backend systems for geospatial web services, an in-house CRM system, and a key-value database service built on Redis datastore. In 2019, they were promoted to Lead Engineer and took on team leadership responsibilities.

Throughout their career, Jacek has gained extensive experience in database programming, systems design, and development. Jacek has worked on a range of projects, including integration, infrastructure, and data replication, while demonstrating leadership and team management skills.

Jacek Spiewak obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Krakow University of Economics, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. Jacek also holds additional certifications, including Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org and IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere IIS DataStage Enterprise Edition V7.5 from The Professional Certification Program from IBM.
