Andrea Artaria

Andrea Artaria has a diverse work experience in data science and research. Andrea worked at Ringier AG as the Head of Data Science, where they built and managed a team of Data Scientists to develop and improve the award-winning platform Sherlock. Andrea supervised the development of the taxonomy classification and NER pipelines of TagCloud and developed LoD resolver to enrich the NER output with data from DBPedie.

Before that, they worked as a Scienziato Data Science at Blick.ch, where they supported management and journalists with data analysis and modeling.

Andrea also has experience working as a Research Consultant and Teaching Assistant at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

Andrea started their career with a marketing internship at Sony, where they focused on market and competitor analysis, managing relationships with GFK, automating report creation flows through VBA, and conducting SQL extractions from internal BI tools.

Andrea Artaria received a Master's degree in Statistics from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2009. From 2011 to 2014, Andrea pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.
