Jay Peña

Jay Peña is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in various legal and leadership roles. Since April 2019, Jay has served as an attorney at Pope & Pena, P.C. and has been a Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Rio Grande City Consolidated Independent School District since November 2020, providing governance oversight for a district comprising 14 schools. In addition, Jay has held the position of In-House General Counsel at Ango Global International, Inc. since November 2014, and serves as President/Shareholder of Angelitos Preventive Health Care, an organization focused on serving Medicare-eligible patients. Previously, Jay worked at Fong Ilagan, LLP as a Business Consultant and Attorney, specializing in immigration services and advising foreign direct investors. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University, a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.
