Gabriel Amaya

Gabriel Amaya, M.S., serves as a Transfer Center Specialist at Rio Hondo College, a position held since May 2022. Prior roles at Rio Hondo College include Student Services Assistant in the Pathway to Law, Transfer Center, and Counseling Department. Gabriel's previous experience includes a position as Student Services Support with the TRIO ACES Program at Mt. San Antonio College from September 2021 to July 2023, and internships with the Transfer Advantage Program and PolyTransfer Program at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, in addition to serving as Assistant Coordinator of Student Involvement within the Office of Student Life and Cultural Centers. Gabriel holds a Master of Science in Education (Higher Education) and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with an emphasis on social inequalities from California State University, Fullerton, as well as Associate Degrees in Sociology and Social and Behavioral Sciences from Mt. San Antonio College.
