Bradley Kihn

Bradley Kihn is an experienced safety and security management professional currently serving as the Manager of Security Operations and Chief Safety Officer for Rio Tinto since January 2015. Kihn's responsibilities include ensuring compliance with the Mines Health and Safety Act, maintaining regulatory relationships, and advising on legal requirements and safety initiatives. Previously, Kihn held various senior roles at Rio Tinto focusing on health, safety, and emergency response systems from 2004 to 2014, as well as conducting internal audits and HSE compliance. Kihn's career began in law enforcement with the South African Police Service, where significant experience was gained in covert operations and specialized criminal investigations. Educational qualifications include certifications from NEBOSH, NOSA, and SAMTRAC, along with training in detective work and policing from the SAPS Training Academy.
