Brett Capper

Brett Capper is an experienced professional in the mining sector, currently serving as General Manager of APAC Studies and Project Shaping at Rio Tinto since October 2011. Notable roles include Study Director for the Simandou Iron Ore Project and the Jadar Lithium Project, as well as General Manager of Technical Services & Productivity, where responsibilities included managing a team to maximize the value of coal assets throughout their lifecycle. Prior to Rio Tinto, Brett Capper held several positions at Anglo American from May 2005 to September 2011, including Technical Services Manager for the Grosvenor Project, where management of comprehensive mining and operational studies was a key focus. Brett Capper holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mining Engineering, both from The University of Queensland.
