Garry Dixon

Garry Dixon is an experienced data engineering professional with a history of significant roles in leading organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at Rio Tinto since January 2023, Garry has previously held similar positions at Mater and Rio Tinto, as well as consultancy roles in business intelligence at Mater Foundation and Empired Ltd, where expertise in Microsoft technologies was leveraged for key BI projects. Garry’s career also includes technical positions at BHP Billiton, Macmahon, Rogge Global Partners, Lebara Mobile, and Ofgem, covering various aspects of database development and analysis. An academic background includes a BCom in Information Systems and Business Management from the University of South Africa from 1997 to 1999.
