Nicholas Sokolich is an experienced Electrical & Control Systems Engineer currently employed at Rio Tinto since December 2019, where roles have included Acting Engineering Superintendent and Maintenance Electrical Engineer. With a foundation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Nicholas holds a Master's degree with Distinction and a Bachelor's degree from The University of Western Australia. In addition to engineering, Nicholas has been involved with Basketball WA since November 2015, serving as an official and NBL1 referee while also mentoring younger referees and educating new participants in officiating. Early career experiences at Rio Tinto included multiple vacation student roles where Nicholas contributed to projects involving PLC and HMI implementations and equipment decommissioning.
