Rob Atkins

Rob Atkins is an experienced geotechnical professional currently serving as Principal Advisor at Rio Tinto since February 2022. Previously, Rob held managerial and advisory roles at Diavik Diamond Mines Inc. and DDMI, with a strong focus on geotechnical expertise from August 2020 to April 2022 and October 2018 to August 2020, respectively. Rob's tenure at Rio Tinto dates back to January 2007, providing significant insights and leadership in geotechnical engineering over multiple roles, including Senior Engineer and Principal Advisor. Rob's career also includes a position as Superintendent at ERA from March 2009 to August 2011. Rob holds a degree from RMIT University.
